Finally got my drawings back--they've been hanging at S2, a video-editing company in Chicago, for the past couple of months. This is a self-portrait done from a photo taken by Ron on Valentine's Day. Upon seeing it again, I've decided it's not quite done. I'll probably tweak it a bit when I get some time. Speakin' of tweakin'--check out Brandon--I left the 'unfinished' one up along with the finished piece, so you can compare...much better, I think...

Fergal it!!

Watercolor. 21" x 24". 1993
This painting is from 1993. I did it as a 21st birthday present for Brandon, my son's father. It is the earliest piece here, thus far, and the largest. Methinks I ought to hit the watercolors again soon. Ah, soon...(as with everything else...)

Graphite. 9.5" x 9.5". May, 2006
Another pic pilfered from bighappyfunhouse. This one isn't done yet, but he's getting there...

Graphite. 11" x 15". April, 2006.
My friend Ron has a phenomenal vernacular photography website: -- Go take a look. Spend some time over there. And if you happen to find a picture that you fall in love with and would like a drawing of, contact me--perhaps I'll be able to help you out with that. In the meantime, enjoy some of MY favorite bighappy this one, for instance.

Ron's sweet, beautiful best friend.

Brandon he is, finished. For now...(the color is more accurate in this photo, too.)
Colored Pencil. 12" x 18". 2004
This drawing has since been 'finished', however it is currently hanging at a video editing company's office in Chicago, and I haven't had an opportunity to re-photograph it yet. I'll post it as soon as I do. By the way, Brandon is my son's daddy. This photo is from 1993.
